I started doing this series of works after the start of the war. Somewhere in the bowels of Russian forests I founded pieces of bark — I didn’t cut the bark from the trees, but I took the bark of already dead trees.
I sew the found pieces together and apply graphics using a burner. Sometimes I combine natural materials and artificial ones made by man.

As an epigraph for this work — the words of a poem by one of the most famous Russian poets, Sergei Yesenin: "There are many trails in Russia. Whatever the path is a coffin, whatever a mile away is a cross…"
